The focus of my blog is on sustainable economic development. What the topic boils down to is how best to use our scarce resources to provide well-being today, while not jeopardizing the well-being of future generations. The most basic definition for sustainable development is that the natural capital stock (all environmental and natural resources: oil stocks, soil quality, atmospheric conditions, fisheries etc.) of resources should not decrease overtime.
Today's most pressing issues in sustainable economics involve climate change, population growth, and overuse of non-renewable resources.
It has been my experience that the vast majority of the population is uninformed regarding the pressing issues of sustainable economics. For instance, a 2010 United Nations survey found that only 5% of the public understand climate change very well.

Hence, the goal of my blog is to relieve some of the unfamiliarity in the field by sharing the various issues, debates, and ideas that shape sustainable economic development.
